The explorer is an advanced web app that uses the Youtube and new york times api. Use the arrow keys to navigate the videos. Pressing the space bar will either show or hide the video player. Nice, I like the update to the music and comedy categories, it's a bit easier to find what you want right away. The information hierarchy is a bit better organized.
Thanks for the feedback Luke. I think what i am going to do is add a list for music and comedy similar to the way that the news category does it. But the lists will be genres and popular comedy.
This is a very cool idea, Derek. The interface design could use some polishing (it would be nice in music, for example, to be able to see all the categories from the start page). Really good ideas though, keep up the hard work.
